This is Homan Robertson, a homeless man in Venice Beach. Homan never asks or begs for money he just bids everyone a friendly hello and how are you. I every now and then give some money when his social security check hasn’t come in to hold him over and believe it or not a few weeks later he gives me the money back every single time. 2 days before Christmas I gave him $20 as a holiday gesture, I asked if he had any plans for the holidays and he said he’s got no family around here so he will just be hanging out on the boardwalk. He also said to me “as long as I live to see Thursday, Friday, etc, I’m a happy man”. I went back to the office and I thought what can I do to make Christmas a little bit special this year for this selfless man. I went back outside and asked if I could take him out to lunch on Christmas which he graciously accepted. I bought him lunch today and listened to some amazing life stories he had (I may share some in another post).

I think my overall reasoning posting about this is to remind everyone to make sure they are always thankful for what they have…Homan is a man that has been through a lot but his outlook on life amazes me, he is more thankful than some people who have it all.

I am grateful for all of you in my life, friends and family.

Happy holidays to all!

You’re a good man Charlie Brown Adam Chazen.
